Today in the 31-Day Challenge we read…

Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world–to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” John 18:37

For some reason, many Christians have come to think that all they have to do is lead good lives and their very presence will somehow cause their faith to “rub off” on others. It’s like conversion by osmosis. The truth is that the Gospel demands intentionality. Jesus acted on purpose and so should we. Faith does not usually come about accidentally, rather it comes when disciples take their role seriously and engage those around them with intentionality. Your work might require you to manage people and resources, but do you see yourself as a steward of the spiritual destiny of the lives God has placed around you? Are you intentional about disciple-making?

The Day 17 challenge is to watch the following video about John C. Maxwell’s Law of Intentionality and then ask God to show you how you can best apply this to being a disciple-maker in your vocation.
