Today in the 31-Day Challenge we read…

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

In order for us to make disciples, we must first be a disciple worth reproducing. We need to have the right DNA in order to pass it along to the next generation. One way to start is by abiding in Christ and cultivating the ‘Inner Me’. This helps God shape us into the kind of disciples worth multiplying. So, how is your ‘Inner Me’ doing? How are your character, your conduct, and your attitude? Does your ‘Inner Me’ manifest itself in stewardship, submission, service, relationships, and wisdom? Where do you need to grow?

The Day 21 Challenge is to review the following summary of Spiritual Disciplines compiled from the writings of Dallas Willard and Richard Foster. Pray over the list and pick two areas that, with God’s help, you will focus more attention toward strengthening that part of your life.

Optional Homework: Pick up a copy of the book Ordering Your Private World by Gordon MacDonald. Read it with care and put into practice whatever God shows you.
